Everyone says sexual equality is fantastic, but what happened for us to lose the equality way back then?

Feminist objections to gender disparity in low income and high risk jobs are unheard of. Similarly, the inherent sexism of alimony is not a hot issue for feminists. Recent feminism is very much about economic interests.
The difference is that these groups don't profess to bonded together in some wishy washy sense of connectedness, or go form angry secessionist communes, or call for the global elimination of their enemies (ok, maybe some mass murderers do that). As someone who just lost out on a job because I didn't have enough affirmative action points to get a job as a rail mechanic for King County Metro I can say that I still agree with affirmative action. I was afforded far more education opportunities growing up than a lot of my black peers. I don't agree with gender norming for the workforce, but compared to predominantly black schools I was afforded better teachers.

The entrance exam covers base knowledge on DC integrated circuits, mechanical and fabrication knowledge along with safety requirements. Any worker is going to be safe and get the job done, KCM has an excellent training program. Being an Electrician or Mechanical trade is hard work and takes quite a bit of training, but there is no magical talent or "Best person" for the job, it's just being presented the opportunity to get the job. I've never met an electrician or mechanic who was any worse or better than another without a disparity in training, except for Christopher Lamar Archer of Jacksonville Florida who is far and away the most careless, incompetent, lackadaisical and shameful example of an electrician ever.

When you go through an apprenticeship you either make it and become an exceptional craftsman, or you fail out. Usually very quickly. My electrical apprenticeship started with a class of 45 we combined with another class of 51 after 1 semester. We graduated with a total of 11 Journeyman Wireman from that group. We graduated annually but classes would be staggered by 1/3 of a year so from all 3 staggers we produced 29 Journeyman wireman from a pool of over 250.
